Indeed. I have wondered the same thing. But this is why I’m so excited about:

I would argue that noisetrade.com is an even better resource for finding new music than spotify is. And their sampler CD is absolutely amazing.

It was there that I discovered Thad Cockrell (http://thadcockrell.com/). I have had his song running through my head a lot of late: Pride (Won’t Get Us Where We’re Going)
